BUYBACK
FAQ's from Students
How can you get CASH for recycling your textbooks?
- Our policy is to buy every college textbook
possible in the resale market. We also buy as many as possible, determining
its campus quota. This quota is based on projected class enrollment for
the upcoming term. The condition of your book can determine the value
of your book.
How much will I get for my books?
- At the Beaver Bookstore, we work our
hardest to make it easier for students to get cash to buy their books
for the next term. In most situations, you are able to receive up to
50% of the value of your textbook.
When should I sell my textbooks?
- The sooner you sell your books after
each term is over, the better chance you have at receiving up to 50%
of the retail price. By the time classes start for the new term, we are
usually not able to pay up to 50% of the list price. The book has already
been stocked in adequate quantity.
What affects the resale value of your textbooks?
- We have sufficient evidence the book
may or may not be used again for the following term.
- The Beaver Bookstore has an overstock
of the book.
- The edition you are trying to sell may
be outdated.
- The condition of your book may be poor,
which includes water damage, missing pages or CDs that are not usable.
(In this case, your book may or may not be able to be sold.)
PLEASE NOTE: The publisher determines
the net price of a textbook and is responsible for all increases of that
price.
